Course Content

1.Programme: B.Com. (Hons.) Programme is to be launched from the academic year 2022-23. It is designed taking into the consideration demands of the students pursuing/ aiming to pursue job opportunities in various sectors like finance, management, taxation and professional courses like CA/CS/CMA, PG Programme from premier B-Schools in India and abroad, International Certifications like CFA/CPA etc. It enables the students to acquire knowledge, skills, abilities to analyze the contemporary realities pertaining to the domain of business. The curriculum covers a carefully selected subject combination of Accountancy, Management, Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, Direct & Indirect Taxes, Law, Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship etc. The Programme develops attributes like Discipline Knowledge, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Soft Skills & Digital Literacy, Research Skills, Moral & Ethical Awareness and Lifelong Learning to name to a few.
2..Eligibility: The basic eligibility for the course shall be 10+2 equivalent from a recognized education board with atleast 60% marks. An entrance exam specifically designed for the B. Com (Hons) shall be conducted for the admission to this programme.
3.Program Objectives:
1)To enable the students to have a working knowledge of professional work required in the field of accounting/audit/taxation/ secretarial practice/ business & finance.
2)To impart updated & relevant knowledge in the diverse fields of commerce.
3)To facilitate the students to pursue professional courses like (CA/CS/CMA) along with the Bcom(honours) programme.
4) To equip the students with the necessary skills in practical aspects of commerce through project/field work
5) To make the students employable considering the requirements of the industry
