Holistic wellness is an approach to health that views all aspects of an individual’s life and how they interact with their environment. It involves looking at the health of the mind, body, and spirit as a way to promote wellbeing.
This course covers three components namely nutrition,physical fitness and mental health and carries 2 credits.
good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.
Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life.
3)mental and emotional health
Emotional and mental health is important because it’s a vital part of your life and impacts your thoughts, behaviors and emotions. Being healthy emotionally can promote productivity and effectiveness in activities like work, school or caregiving.
