BBA

The BBA course is a full time 3 years graduation programme affiliated to the University of Pune. The objective of the course is to holistically transform the students and grow them into assertive and positive leaders, equip them with the knowledge to enter into the corporate world and make them into good citizen of the country. Since it is professional course, syllabus is dynamic and vibrant which enables the students with the theoretical knowledge as well as with practical exposure to the corporate world. The programme is designed to prepare students for the complex challenges in today's work environment driven by growing competition and demanding targets. It also acts as a stepping stone for higher studies in the field of management.

As per the new syllabus recommended by the University in 2008,students appearing for T.Y.BBA from the year 2010 onwards will get a choice of any one of the following subjects for specialization.

BBM IB is specialized 3 years full time Graduation programme,which is affiliated to University of Pune. It is an intensive course, which aims for making leaders in the era of Globalization. The course is designed to mould the students to foresee the intensely competitive global environment and transform them into path makers with the bright move in the global market. Examination & Method of Assessment of BBA,BBM(IB) & BCA Course

Examination Pattern

External Examination: There will be written exams of 80 marks each for every subject, which is conducted by the Pune University at every semester end. The duration of the External exam is 3 hours.

Internal Examination: The class work will carry 20 marks. These marks will be given for monthly tests, project, assignments, case study etc. The medium of instruction of exams shall be English only.

Note: The Internal and External Head of Passing shall remain a separate head of passing.

Scheme Of Examination

The BBA,BBM(IB) & BCA Examinations will be 3600 marks divided into 3 arts as per details given below:

  Part I
consisting of semester I & II of six papers each Aggregate 1200 marks.
  Part II
consisting of semester III & IV of six papers each Aggregate 1200 marks.
  Part III
consisting of semester V & VI of six papers each Aggregate 1200 marks.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF BBA, BBM(IB) AND BCA COURSES

There will be class work carrying weight age 20 marks for each course. For industrial exposure in Semester III and IV there will be viva voce examination of 20 marks and Written Report and Industrial visits of 80 marks.

For B.C.A. course on project work there will be oral presentation test consisting of 20 marks and written report of 80 marks (course nos 635,636)
Standard of Passing

The candidate has to obtain minimum 32 out of 80 in the External semester exam and minimum 8 out of 20 in Internal Exam to pass in the respective subject each semester. The internal and external Head of passing shall remain separate head of passing in order to pass the semester End Exams.

Award of Class

 
Aggregate 70 % and above
First Class with Distinctions.
  Aggregate 60 % and above but less than 70 % First Class
  Aggregate 55 % and above but less than 60 % Higher Second Class
  Aggregate 55 % and above but less than 50 % Second Class
  Aggregate 40 % and above but less than 50 % Pass Class
  Below 40% Fail

BCA Courses

 
A student shall be allowed to keep term for the second year, if he/she has a backlog of not more than three theory heads and one practical or four theory heads of total number of subjects of the First year Examination, which consists of First and Second semester.
 
A student shall be allowed to keep term for the third year, If he/she has no backlog of first year & if he/she has a backlog of not more than three theory & one practical or four theory heads of total number of subjects of second year examination which consist of third and fourth semester.

BBA,BBM(IB) Courses

 
A student shall be allowed to keep term for the second year, if he/she has a backlog of not more than four theory heads of total number of subjects of the First year Examination, which consists of First and Second semester
 
A student shall be allowed to keep term for the third year, If he/she has no backlog of first year & if he/she has a backlog of not more than four theory heads of total number of subjects of second year examination which consist of third and fourth semester.
